Social Spectrum

One of Jubilee Media’s most popular series is Spectrum, a show that explores the range of beliefs within different communities. Six individuals of a certain identity or background are placed on a line and asked to disperse according to how much they agree or disagree with a statement. The result is a visual display of beliefs & candid conversations that showcase individuality over stereotypes.

Social Spectrum is the social media version of our video series. I post thought-provoking prompts and invite our followers to comment their stance and share their perspective!

Strategy & Purpose

Social media can often feel devoid of genuine connection, every post implicitly trying to sell a product, encourage sign-ups, or re-direct to another piece of media. With Jubilee, the posts are often in tandem with video releases. I wanted to create a stand-alone campaign that added value to people’s feeds and fostered a sense of community while still paying homage to our popular YouTube series.

For this bi-weekly campaign, I utilized IG comments as a unique polling system. I pre-commented the Spectrum stances, ranging from “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree",” and invited people to vote by liking the comment with their choice. People were also encouraged to elaborate with their perspective and respond to others!

A couple days later, I would follow up with a series of IG story posts summarizing the results and highlighting individual perspectives. Selecting and tagging users who participated was an opportunity to make people feel seen and interact directly with our audience.
